In the recent decades, environment and agricultural soil as the main tool for the basic industry have been burdened by applying chemicals in the form of chemical plant protection and industrial fertilizers, degrading the quality of arable land. Results of a large number of researches warn us of the fact that bacterial flora, which is inevitable for soil, is on the edge of extinction. To a large extent, microorganisms, essential for the soil and providing for natural nitrogen, have dwindled. The number of bacteria supporting the cellulose decomposition in soil have been reduced, and also the natural microbiological process of releasing bound phosphorous in the soil has slowed down. Supplementary soil substance AZOTER will help create conditions enhancing metabiosis and thus enriching the soil with natural nitrogen and phosphorous.
As it is well known, bacteria play a decisive role in maintaining the productivity of soil: they bind atmospheric nitrogen supplementing it to plants; they increase the intake of phosphates and potassium present in the soil, and in addition, they support decomposition of organic contaminants in the soil.
In principal, these functions can be fulfilled by three types of bacterial strains:
- Azotobacter Croococcum: a type of bacteria binding atmospheric nitrogen, providing plants with a sufficient amount of nitrogen throughout the vegetation season.
- Azospirillum Braziliense: also a type of bacteria binding atmospheric nitrogen. In addition, it can withstand temperatures above 30°C, thus enabling supplying nitrogen to plants also in hot summer periods.
- Bacterium Megatherium: following the proliferation of this microorganism in the soil, the root systems of plants can intake mobilized phosphorous which is present in the soil, but in forms inaccessible for plants.
By means of bacteria, the preparation improves reproduction of microorganisms responsible for cellulose decomposition, thus enhancing the generation of potassium.
Our products contain also water-soluble cellulose. Once the supplied cellulose has been consumed, these bacteria will start to decompose and mineralize plant residues, releasing micro- and macro-elements bound in them.
This coordinated activity of bacteria binding nitrogen, mobilizing phosphorous and being able to decompose cellulose, is called METABIOSIS. The process is a theoretical basis of the AZOTER® products.
Bacterial fertilizers AZOTER®: Supplementing N-P-K at the highest level
The basis of the AZOTER® product family comprises bacterial fertilizer AZOTER®.
Compared to other common bacterial fertilizers, AZOTER® features the highest density of germs, namely 10 ⁹ - 14⁹ germs per ml. For fertilization of one hectare of land, 10 litres of AZOTER® suffices, as this fertilizer provides for a huge amount of useful bacteria, by which the bacterial micro-flora of soil improves substantially.
Advantages of fertilizer AZOTER®
10 litres of the fertilizer containing soil bacteria AZOTER® applied to one hectare of land will supply the root systems of plants 130 – 150 kg of nitrogen; will provide for 70 – 80 kg of phosphorus from phosphorus compounds inaccessible to plants, and will mobilize 30 kg of potassium. By degrading the stalk residues as well as green and stable manures, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium can be further utilized.
Germs of bacteria present in the product will not only provide for supplying N-P-K, but also for the following:
- Mobilizing micro- and macro-elements.
- Substances produced by bacteria (Auxin, Gibberelin) improve the growth of plants, enhance the vegetation, and speed up the ripening process of crops.
- The produced vitamins will strengthen plants’ resistance to diseases.
- The tolerance against drought will improve, and the root system of plants will increase by 25%.
- The supplied bacteria and their activity will result in enhanced production of humus.
- The structure and aeration of soil as well as water management of soil will improve, and soil will get mellow.
- A BIO product
- The product does not pose any threat to environment, and ground water does not get contaminated by nitrates or nitrites.
- Degradation of harvest-fields and plant residues will speed up.
- Economic effectiveness of this product lies in reducing costs of plant nutrition, and at the same time, in reducing by-costs of protection. Based on long-term application of AZOTER to optimal soils, it was proven that it could replace industrial fertilizers of the N-P-K without any decreases in hectare yields.
- In comparison with artificial fertilizers, it is practicable to achieve about 60% cost savings.
AZORHIZ®: Double effect for plants of family Papilionaceae
It is a widespread form of fertilizer AZOTER, mostly suitable for plants of family Papilionaceae. AZORHIZ is a bacterial fertilizer with a double effect of providing for a sufficient supply of nitrogen that acts as a support of creating bumps on the root system, and also binding atmospheric nitrogen. It increases the produced amounts of soya beans, lucerne, peas and beans.
AZOTER-SC®: Victory over white mould (Sclerotinia)
In addition to bacteria and effective substances present in fertilizer AZOTER® , AZOTER-SC® contains mould Coniothyrium minitans hiperparazita which destroys white mould present in the soil. Coniothyrium minitans does not attack plants. Instead, it only limits and destroys the creation of sclerotinia mould in the soil, which causes plants to wither. In this way, an effective way of protecting soil is provided, and occurrence of sclerotinia –type disease is reduced.
AZOTER-F®: A successful fight against mould Fusarium
It is also a widespread form of fertilizer AZOTER® that protects against mould Fusarium. The product contains parasitic mould Trichoderma viridae which destroys spores Fusaria already in the soil. When this protection does not take place already in the soil, then the spores of mould Fusarium will proliferate, reducing the amount of plant nutrition by 25 - 30 %, and producing mycotoxins, which are toxic to both, humans and animals.
CHARACTERISTICS, APPLICATION AND DOSING
Azoter is a grey thick liquid with a characteristic molasses-like smell, which is typical for this preparation.
In particular, it is suitable for soils containing more than 1% of humus, and having pH in the range from 5.4 to 8.0. It is exceptionally useful for lime soil. However, the most effective is the application to moderate soils. It is not suitable for extreme soils (sandy or acidic) or for crops that are technologically grown under a foil, such as melons.
By applying fertilizer AZOTER, pH of the soil may grow from year to year by 0.1 - 0.2 % towards the neutral value of pH, which is optimal for soil.
Bacterial fertilizer AZOTER® shall be applied prior to sowing. It is optimal to apply the fertilizer 10 - 14 days before sowing. In the case of temperatures above 20 ̊C, the product shall be blended in the soil within one to two hours so that microorganisms are not long exposed to strong solar radiation. It shall be applied by sprinklers to the soil surface. It is to be diluted with water at the ratio of 1:30 – 1:50 l depending on sprinkler mechanisms. The product is easy to be mixed. It can be mixed and applied with herbicides and fungicides except with those containing bactericidal substances.
Recommended dosing is 10 l per hectare (however, at least 150 l of prepared solution per hectare), whereby the declared values guarantee an effect by which application of classical industrial fertilizers can be replaced. With this dosage, azotobacter and azospirillium regularly bind nitrogen and supply it to the root system of plant, in the amount corresponding to about 130 – 150 kg of nitrogen in pure nutrients.
By a similar system, bacteria megatherium release bound phosphorous and transform tricalcium phosphate present in soil into dicalcium phosphate, which is a water-soluble form. Thus they supply nutrients to plants. At the end of the vegetation season, the amount of phosphorous released in this manner corresponds to about 60 – 80 kg of phosphorous in pure nutrients.
Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental Protection Regulations
Handling of the product does not require any special measures to be taken in terms of occupational health and safety, and environmental protection. After work with the product, it is sufficient to wash hands using warm water and soap.
Delivery and packaging of the product
AZOTER is delivered in 25 l, 30 l, 50 l and 60 l PVC returnable labelled packs. The product must be stored in dry, cool and ventilated places, separated from foodstuffs, fodders, medicines and packaging of these substances. When the product is to be long-term stored up to three months, the storage temperature may not exceed 5 ̊C.
The guarantee period of the product is 90 days from the date of stocking-out.
Preparation AZOTER is approved for application in ecological farming, and is registered by international company BIOKONTROLL, Reg. No: 02.5/710/7/2009/
